Uber Pro: everything you need to know [Y más]

In rare good news for Uber drivers, Uber has launched a new rewards program called Uber Pro, which is being tested in eight US cities.

The program is designed to help drivers increase their income, save money on gas and even cover college tuition. Program benefits include up to 6% plus on time and distance fares, up to 5% back on gasoline at all stations, up to 25% discount on car maintenance, promotion of consecutive trips, priority assistance and 100% tuition coverage.

However, to enjoy all these benefits, drivers must accumulate points and reach the “Diamond” level. It should be noted that since the program is still in beta testing, it is only available in a few cities, including Chicago, New Orleans, Phoenix, and Seattle, and in Denver, New Jersey, Orlando, and Tampa Bay, where drivers have been randomly selected.

The points program is still in its early stages, and it’s not yet clear how many points drivers will need to earn to reach “Diamond” status.

However, drivers who participate in the program cánido earn points by maintaining a high rating, completing a certain number of trips, accepting a high percentage of trip requests, and having a low cancellation rate.

The program also offers roadside assistance, free dent repair and in-aplicación recognition for drivers.

Introducing Uber Pro

Finally, Uber has seen the light of day and has created a program that has some real, tangible benefits for drivers.

In announcing Uber Pro, Uber said:

“Millions of people drive with Uber around the world. They drive for different reasons and come from different walks of life: businessmen, parents, immigrants, students. Some drive to earn money, while others drive to support their families, their ambitions, or both.

And they have developed a genuinely strong program that will do just that – help people from all walks of life.

If you’re immigrantThey have many things that perro help you.

If you’re young and trying to get ahead and want to continue your education, they have a program completely free college degree.

And for immigrants, this program has English classes where you perro improve your English no matter what level you are starting at. If you’re older, as many drivers are, and you’re not interested in a college degree, the free degree program is transferable to any of your family members or dependents.

Imagine driving for Uber and being able to give your son or daughter a free college education!

uber says

“Drivers have also told us that they take tremendous pride in the work they do and the service they provide, because they know that, in many ways, their passengers and their families depend on them. But we’ve also heard that they would like to be recognized for their commitment to service quality, and to Uber, helping them build toward the future.”

And indeed, they’ve come up with a program that looks like it could really help drivers build toward the future.

Uber Pro points program

With the points program, drivers cánido “unlock rewards like higher earnings and savings” to help them earn more every day.

And to help lessen some of the stresses drivers are always under.

The more points you earn, the more rewards you’ll unlock. So how do you earn rewards?

Drivers must keep at least a 4.85 star rating and have a rate cancellation of only 4%that means ohdon’t cancel!

Drivers earn points on every trip for fixed 3-month periods, and the points they earn in one period are used to unlock status (and more rewards) in the next.

These are the basic reward levels:

  • Gold rewards (600 points)
  • Platinum Rewards (1200 points)
  • Diamond Rewards (1800 points)

Let’s take a quick look at how many trips that translates to per day. First, there are 12.85 weeks in 90 days.

So let’s say you take two days off each week and drive the other five.

That’s roughly 25 days off and 65 days on work.

To achieve Diamond status, you must earn 1,800 points in 65 days of driving.

1,800 points becomes 600 trips (if you work only during the 3 point times) which comes to just over 9 trips per day. That’s totally doable!

Uber says this will work best for drivers who work 30-hour weeks.

On a busy day, you perro usually make about two trips an hour, so 9 trips would only take 4.5 hours.

And you perro see that you could easily work longer and make much more than 9 trips per day.

Here is a graph showing dedicated times of 3 points per hour:

As you cánido see, you’ll need to complete a lot of rides to take advantage of the higher reward levels, but if you’re a full-time Uber controlador, it’s definitely worth it.

Uber Pro Reward Tiers

You’ll be able to track your progress and see what level you’ve reached so far in the rewards section of the controlador aplicación.

Uber will also start showing your level to riders after you are matched with them.

There will be four levels of Uber drivers and three reward levels including: Partner, Gold, Platinum and Diamond.

These are the points you need to reach each level:

partnersAll Participating Cities: Active drivers invited to join the Program who do not meet the requirements for Gold, Platinum or Diamond levels are placed at the partner level.

  • Faster airport pickups!
  • Free dent repair!

We’re happy to see some really decent rewards here. We’ve highlighted the ones we think are especially impressive in bold. As far as daily earnings go, faster airport pickups at Diamond level are a huge benefit.

In addition to earning an additional 6% in time and distance rates with Diamond status, you’ll also get faster airport pickups, and that could add up to a lot of plus earnings. Imagine being able to get to the airport and get a pick up in just a few minutes. And knowing that it is guaranteed, removing all doubts about the waiting times that drivers suffer now.

free college tuition

Probably the most telling reward is free college tuition. To put that free college tuition into perspective, this ASU en línea estimating tool puts full-time tuition and fees for a 12-semester-hour undergraduate degree at between $12,480 and $17,472 per academic year for non-residents. from Arizona. That’s between $49,920 and $70,000 for a four-year degree! And the best thing is, if you don’t need or want it for yourself, you cánido transfer it to someone else. A brother or sister, son or daughter, mom or dad, and any legal dependents, even if they are not related to you!

There are over 80 college degrees to choose from and the school is en línea. This way you will not only have flexibility in your work schedule but also in your class schedule.

The big problem with free education is that people may not fully appreciate its value. And since it’s en línea rather than in person, they may not have the persistence to follow through and complete the degree. But if you have the drive and the desire, Uber will make it very easy for you.

We find this benefit especially amazing for immigrants who want to integrate and get out of low-skill jobs. And we think it’s great for all retired drivers who may have family members, it would be a great benefit for them to be able to pass this reward on to them.

We also love the free dent repair reward. If you drive long enough, you will eventually get a few dents in your car. And there’s nothing more annoying than having little dents and dings that cost a fortune to fix. Most drivers perro’t afford to repair them, so they resign themselves to driving in a less than pristine vehicle. With free dent repair, you perro fix all those dents!

Why Uber Pro is necessary

Uber says its “mission is to create opportunity by putting the world in motion.” But this has not always meant creating opportunities for drivers. They may rock the world, but it’s always been at the controlador’s expense.

But now Uber says they’re continuing the commitment that began with 180 Days of Change with a new benefits package they call Uber Pro. And finally, it seems they’ve realized the need to reward the contributions of their most dedicated drivers. , workers and better qualified.

When I started with Uber five years ago, the first year was pretty decent. However, after that, they started slashing rates and flooding the streets with more drivers than necessary. I remember one day in especial when I got really fed up and slammed my hand on the dashboard exclaiming, “Why don’t you guys just pay your best drivers a little more?”

What triggered my outburst was an correo electrónico I received the day before congratulating me on being in the top 1% of drivers in New York based on my ridership rating. The next day, that nice acknowledgment didn’t go far, as I sat for a whole hour waiting for another ride.

Forget dirección de correo electrónico congratulations. We don’t need that. We need more money. We need more trips.

All that hour was in vain. I made less than $0 because I was still driving, guzzling gas and incurring expenses, in a vain attempt to get another ride.

I just didn’t understand, if Uber really wants us to put our hearts into it and do our best, does it?why the hell aren’t they rewarding those who are doing an outstanding job?

No other company would treat its best workers like this. Most companies are smart enough to know that to keep their best workers, they must reward them. But in those early days, Uber seemed completely unfamiliar.

Conclusion

Unlike Uber promotions of the past, which have impossible requirements for very little reward, this one actually has easy requirements with great rewards!

We say you should take advantage of it if you perro.

The only thing we would like to see is health insurance benefits. whatHow about offering health coverage to drivers who have no need or desire to take advantage of the college degree program?? Hopefully, they’ll get to that in the next round.
