Maru Voice Canada Review: Scam or a
If you are looking for side jobs en línea, you are bound to come across several survey sites that pay their members to share their opinion.
And with the weight of monthly bills on your shoulders, survey sites are attractive.
I found Maru Voice Canada while searching en línea and wanted to know if it was a scam (as most of these sites seem to be), or if it was legitimate.
You may be here for the same reason…
What is Maru Voice Canada?
Maru Voice Canada is an en línea market research company that provides Canadians with a forum in which to express their opinions and potentially impact a wide variety of topics ranging from domestic brands to government and non-profit organizations.
However, they were not always known as Maru Voice Canada.
Maru Voice is a relatively new site, with a domain registration as recent as March 2018…
Before becoming Maru Voice Canada, they were known as the Angus Reid Forums.
Parent company Maru/Blue now owns and operates the community.
Unlike afín sites like SwagBucks and Survey Junkie that also offer rewards for doing small tasks en línea, Maru Voice is primarily a market research and opinion site that focuses on surveys.
They also partner with a variety of organizations that you typically won’t find with “rewards” sites like…
- government institutions
- Half
- Nonprofit organizations
They also work with domestic brands, which is more common among traditional survey and payment (GPT) sites.
And just like other traditional sites, they fall into a category of sites known as MMOs (make money en línea) which is heavily populated with scams.
Is Maru Voice Canada a scam?
My first instinct when I see a new site to make money en línea is that it is a scam.
Scams far outnumber legitimate sites, so statistically, when you come across a site like this, it’s most likely a scam.
However, with Maru Voice Canada, even though I was skeptical, I had a good feeling and I’ll tell you why…
Scammers rarely objetivo just one country, especially with a region-specific domain like maruvoice.ca.
.CA is a top-level domain governed by CIRA (Canadian Internet Registration Authority) and is only available to Canadian citizens, businesses, and organizations.
These are not the types of domains that scammers use.
It’s not impossible for them to register a country-specific domain, but it’s also a lot of effort for very little benefit.
Scammers also objetivo the widest possible audience.
They rarely focus on a specific country.
Again, it’s not impossible to find regionally targeted scams en línea, it’s just not that common.
So those were my first clues that Maru Voice Canada was legit.
Maru Voice Canada also has a significant following en línea, currently with 41,000 followers.
Their Twitter following is also a decent size for an en línea survey site.
At the time of this review, they have over 7000 followers.

However, more than domain registrations and popular media followers, there is another reason why you cánido be sure that Maru Voice is not a scam.
As mentioned above, prior to becoming Maru Voice Canada, you could find the community on the Angus Reid forums.
And who is Angus Reid?
According to the Angus Reid Institute,

So,Maru Voice Canada is a scam?
Maru Voice Canada is not a scam.
It is a legitimate market research company originally founded by Dr.
Angus Reid and formerly known as the Angus Reid Forum.
Dr.
Angus Reid has been conducting market research in areas including popular, government, and economic issues since 1979.
It is also worth mentioning that Maru Voice Canada is not always accepting new members.
Recruitment opens only during certain parts of the year, which is more evidence that they are legitimate.
I have never seen a survey type scam do that (and I have reviewed hundreds).
How does Maru Voice Canada work?
Now that you know that Maru Voice Canada is legit, we perro talk about how they work.
Surveys, like focus groups, are how many companies do market research, so it’s important that they know a little bit about who you are.
Many people will not be comfortable with this and that is understandable.
The purpose of these surveys is to help companies better serve or respond to a especial audience or customer, therefore it is important that they ask the same audience (or customer) that they are serving.
In other words, they need to know some personal details including:
- Name
- Home
- Age
- Gender
- Civil status
- Education level
- habits
These details will help Maru Voice match you with relevant surveys.
Maru Voice Canada Requirements
Maru Voice Canada is open to Canadian residents only, and you must be at least 18 years old to join.
How to register with Maru Voice Canada
If you go to the official Maru Voice Canada site, you will see a Join Now button, which you perro clic to sign up.
However, at the time of this review, Maru Voice Canada is not accepting new members.
As mentioned above, they open registration periodically throughout the year, so if you cánido’t join now, check back with them.
If (and when) you are accepted, please note that Maru Voice Canada requires its members to participate in surveys at least once every three months.
They will close your account if you are inactive for three consecutive months… presumably to open the doors to new members who want to participate.
Available surveys are sent vía correo electrónico, but have limited spaces, so respond quickly.
And because surveys are based on demographics, you won’t always qualify.
However, Canadians are lucky to have many opportunities to earn income en línea (this website is Canadian owned), so Maru Voice is not your only option.
Maru Voice Canada points system
Of course, you will get paid when you answer surveys on Maru Voice Canada in the form of points.
Points cánido be redeemed for gift cards or PayPal money.
Before starting a survey, they will display the points payout for that especial survey, which according to their site ranges from 50-500 upon completion.
However, from what I’ve seen in some reviews, it seems that polls are usually worth 50-150 points.
One point is worth one penny, so 50 to 150 points equals $0.50 to $1.50.
Another thing to remember here is that not all surveys have points.
In some cases, surveys may be rewarded with contest entries.
Redemption of points
Unfortunately, redeeming points is not easy.
They have a minimum threshold of $50.00, which means you have to accumulate 5,000 points before you get paid.
That’s a lot of polls.
Maru Voice Canada offers the following redemption options:
- PayPal transfer
- Visa (virtual and physical cards)
- gift cards
Depending on their site, redemption options may change without notice. warning.
Maru Voice Canada Disclaimer
I am including an excerpt from their Disclaimer to give you an iniciativa of some of the risks involved in joining survey sites.
As you cánido see in the screenshot below, they say they don’t have any control over the internet (which is of course true).
Therefore, they do not guarantee that your personal information is 100% secure when you answer surveys on their site.
However, this is true of all survey sites.
They are working with third parties (their customers) and although every effort may be made on their part to protect your information; They have no control over third parties.
And if you find that there aren’t enough surveys to keep you busy, which is ALSO the case with most survey sites, the good thing (unlike a job) is that you’re not locked into or bound to just one.
There is no loyalty in the polls.
However, I think they are understanding.
Maru Voice Canada Reviews and Complaints
Fb Reviews
I have to admit, having learned what I now know about the Maru Voice, this surprised me…
Maru Voice Canada is rated 1 out of 5 on Fb.
Now, that’s based on the opinion of only three reviews, but it still surprised me.
I also noticed some complaints on their Fb page.
One is regarding the registration process, claiming that it is difficult to join the Maru Voice Canada Panel.
Fair enough…
Maru Voice Canada responded vía private message.
Another member complained that they didn’t receive their reward at first.
However… There is an answer and after some time it seems they figured this out.
SiteJabber Reviews
Unfortunately, there were only two reviews on SiteJabber at the time I was researching Maru Voice Canada.
Again, it’s hard to judge something based on a review.
And it should be mentioned that people are much more likely to leave a review when they are not happy.
With that said, I promised to provide you with the information you needed to escoge if Maru Voice Canada was for you, so that’s what I’ll do…
According to the person at SiteJabber (who gave Maru Voice Canada a 1-star rating), you had to change your dirección de correo electrónico address and therefore the company removed your points.
She also said that there were several correos electrónicos between her and the company, but the issue was never resolved (and lost his points, which were enough for the exchange).

There is no guarantee that surveys will be available on a regular basis.
PayPal is an available payment option.
