iWriter Review: Make Money Writing

iWriter Review: Make Money Writing

You may be a seasoned trabajo independiente writer or looking for your first writing assignment.

And you know that the freedom and flexibility of working from home is better than the worry and stress of working a job.

As a trabajo independiente writer, I agree.

However, when starting out, the challenge is finding a good writing job.

Platforms like iWriter cánido be of great help.

Of course, not all platforms are legitimate.

Maybe you’re still stuck at your job, trying to break free and getting nowhere.

It’s frustrating.

Especially if you have bills to pay and debts weighing you down.

Is it really possible to work from home? To start your day in peace and live life your way.

I also had my suspicions.

In this review, I’ll discuss what iWriter does, how it works, and whether you perro really earn a full-time income at home.

I’ll also explain why some are concerned that iWriter is a scam.

What is iWriter?

iWriter is a marketplace for writing services.

They connect trabajo independiente writers with clients and vice versa.

Founded in 2011 by director ejecutivo Brad Callen, iWriter is located in Carmel, Indiana.

Unlike afín platforms that require bidding, writing jobs are available on iWriter.

Once inside, you perro choose your projects from a list of tasks available on your board.

Is iWriter legit?

I’ve been a trabajo independiente writer for over ten years, and as you cánido imagine, the number of scams I’ve come across seems endless.

Perhaps you have come across many as well.

So it is habitual to think that iWriter could be a scam.

It’s good to be skeptical.

When evaluating an en línea platform or a site to make money, one of the first things I look for is an de hoy owner or founder.

Is there a real person who is responsible? Someone who is proud of what he created.

In the case of iWriter, yes.

The founder (Brad Callen) is a real person.

The next thing you want to know is if it has been around for a while.

Scams rarely survive.

They may rebrand and evolve, but they don’t last without rebranding or going after a new audience.

IWriter has been around for over 10 years, saying something about its legitimacy.

They also have a decent en línea presence, which is a good sign. iWriter’s Fb account has about 8,500 followers and they respond to messages.

iWriter is not a scam.

That’s not to say there aren’t any negative reviews or scam accusations, which I’ll discuss later.

However, as a trabajo independiente writing platform, they are what they say they are; A legit article writing service.

However, it’s not unusual to hear someone call trabajo independiente writing in general a scam.

Not because it’s a real scam, but because the starting pay is low and finding a job as a new writer perro be difficult.

It is a competitive market.

How does iWriter work?

This perro be a trabajo independiente writer or a customer purchasing articles (known in iWriter as a “requester”).

How iWriter works for you depends on which you are…

For writers:

A quick overview of how iWriter works for writers is…

  1. Sign up for an iWriter account.
  2. Choose an article or topic to write about.
  3. Work on your writing project.
  4. Submit your work.
  5. Get paid after approval (you won’t get paid if your job is rejected).

According to iWriter (image below), you cánido earn up to $80 for a 500 word article.

I’m skeptical of this, and I’ll explain why in a bit…

Before I get too far ahead of myself, new writers cánido only write fácil articles.

To level up, which comes with a higher reward, you need to finish 30 elementos and achieve a rating of 4 stars or better.

If you average 4.6 stars (or more), you will be invited to the group of elite writers.

There you will have access to projects of three levels: Estándar, Premium and Elite.

If your average rating is above 4.85, Elite Agregado projects will be available.

iWriter Writer Aplicación

iWriter used to accept writers/applicants from all over the world.

However, at this time, iWriter is only accepting applicants from the following countries:

  • North America
  • South America
  • Europe
  • Australia
  • Asia

Depending on when you are reading this review this could change.

First you need to submit a request form with your name and dirección de correo electrónico to register an account.

You also need to answer a few fácil questions, such as how/where did you hear about them.

Your application process also includes some short tests.

Currently, they have these two tests for you to complete:

  • You will need to tell iWriter about yourself and why you would like to apply to their platform.

This is a common interview question, but the real test is to write your answer in English (200 words), so they cánido test your writing skills.

  • You are given another question, which currently is, “what is the number one way for a business to be successful in popular media marketing? Again, you need to answer this in 200 words using English.

You’ll also need to pass their plagiarism check, which shouldn’t be a problem if you’re taking the test correctly.

For Clients (Applicants/Employers)

iWriter for Clients works much like other platforms.

You send out writing projects and the writers pick them up.

However, what is unique is that the writers simply submit completed articles instead of applying for the job first.

For example, on sites like Textbroker or WritersAccess, writers apply with a pitch and portfolio.

You must choose them for the project before they start.

To get started, choose “Request Content” from the top menu.

You will be greeted with a vídeo that will walk you through the ordering process, as well as a request to add funds.

Once you have added funds (and have seen the vídeo if it’s your first time), choose «Following» and complete the content request form.

For the most part, the order form is fácil…

Choose what you want from the drop down menu (by clicking the down arrow shown above in the “What would you like?” section).

The options are:

  • Article
  • To rewrite
  • SEO optimized article

Then choose from a list of options in the item category drop down menu.

Current categories include:

  • Alternative energy
  • arts and entertainment
  • automotive
  • Companies
  • Cancer
  • communications
  • Informatic and tecnology
  • Environment
  • Fashion
  • Finance
  • Alimentation and drinks
  • Health and fitness
  • Vacation
  • home and family
  • home and family
  • home and family
  • insurance
  • Internet and en línea business
  • Legal
  • Medicine
  • News and Society
  • Pets
  • Photography
  • real estate
  • leisure and sports
  • Reference and education
  • Relations
  • Science and Technology
  • Personal growth
  • Product Purchases and Reviews
  • Sports
  • Transport
  • travel and leisure
  • write and speak

Continuing through the order form, you will need to choose the number of articles you need to write, the word count, and the quality level.

These options will determine the cost (as shown below)…

Be sure to provide your writer with detailed instructions.

The more precise, the better.

Not only does it help them write a better article, but it will also save you a great deal of time during the approval process.

If you’re new to iWriter, you won’t have a list of specific writers to submit your work to.

But I recommend that you create a list.

It’s much easier to send jobs to a dozen or more proven writers than perusing mediocre articles written by writers you may have already rejected.

Finally, place your order.

iWriter is a busy platform, and you’ll likely have articles submitted within a few hours.

You have three days (72 hours) from the time they are submitted before they are automatically approved.

If approved, the funds are transferred to the writer, so keep an eye out for incoming submissions.

Write for iWriter

Once accepted, you perro start writing immediately.

Here are the steps to get started:

  • Log in, open your account and clic the “Write Content” button.
  • You will see all available jobs with different tags (Estándar, Premium, Elite, Elite Agregado).

As a new writer, you perro accept the estándar level jobs.

  • When choosing a job, you cánido check the reviews of that especial applicant.

Like you, they also have a star rating.

Personally, I would only take projects from applicants with at least a 4.0 star rating.

  • You cánido also check the pass-fail rating of each applicant.

Keep in mind that you won’t get paid for rejected work, and like all trabajo independiente platforms, some clients are just in the habit of rejecting work.

And not always for a valid reason.

Therefore, my recommendation is to only accept writing jobs for applicants with a passing score of 90% or higher when possible.

  • Once you find a especial project that interests you, clic the agregado sign (+) next to the project name.
  • When the project description opens, clic the “Special Instructions” button to make sure you fully understand what the applicant wants.
  • Check the turnaround time to make sure you perro meet your deadline.

    Typical response times are: – 2 hours for a 300 word article – 3 hours for a 500 word article – 5 hours for a 1,000 word article

  • Then clic on the “Write article” button.
  • Once your article is written, submit your work to the applicant through the iWriter platform.
  • Wait for your article to be accepted (applicants have 72 hours to accept or reject your work).

iWriter jobs

Since iWriter is exclusively a writing platform, you won’t find multiple trabajo independiente jobs.

iWriter projects are limited to:

  • Writing articles (basic and optimized for SEO)
  • Article Rewriting
  • write libros electrónicos

The amount of money you cánido earn depends on the type of work you do and your current rank.

The classification system has 4 levels or tiers:

  • Estándar: As a newcomer to iWriter, you’ll start with the estándar range.

As mentioned above, iWriter will evaluate your first 30 jobs to determine if you qualify for the higher levels.

  • Premium: You’ll need a GPA of no less than 4.0 to qualify for iWriter’s Premium writing projects.
  • Elite – iWriter Elite writers need to maintain a 4.6 GPA.
  • Elite Agregado – The highest paid Elite Agregado writers must have an average rating of 4.85 or higher.

Of course, your earnings will increase as your rank increases.

However, as I mentioned a moment ago, I would question your claim to earn $80 per 500 word article, and here’s why…

In the image above, the going rate for a 500 word Elite Agregado article is $39.

So if that’s the case, how do you earn $80?

I know I’ve never made $80 on iWriter for 500 words, but that being said, $39 isn’t a horrible rate either.

But of course, that’s what applicants pay iWriter, not what iWriter pays writers.

It’s their platform, so they take a slice…

iWriter Fees

As a writer, I feel a bit bitter when trabajo independiente platforms like iWriter only pay me a percentage of what the client pays.

While I understand that these platforms deserve their commission for connecting writers to clients, I perro’t help but think how much I could make if I worked directly for the client.

Still, I know these platforms are necessary to stay in business, and I’m grateful to have access to them.

In my experience, iWriter’s fees seem to change from time to time and I now work directly with most clients instead of relying exclusively on independent platforms.

Although the review does not provide a clear answer on how much you perro earn on iWriter, it is important to remember that these platforms charge additional fees, such as promotion fees or reading fees, on top of their usual commission.

How much perro you earn on iWriter?

In iWriter, the amount of money you earn as a writer will depend on your rank and the number of words you write.

Although there are income statements en línea, they are not always accurate as to your specific earnings.

In general, iWriter pay varies by rank: Estándar writers earn around $2.50 per 500 word article, Premium writers earn $4.00 per 500 words, and Elite writers earn $8 per 500 words.

Elite Agregado writers cánido earn more, but these projects are hard to come by.

However, iWriter is not necessarily a platform for finding high-quality writers, as most customers are looking for a cheap writing service.

The best way to increase your earnings as a writer is to improve your writing skills.

If you’re just looking to earn some plus money en línea, survey sites are the easiest way to go.

But if you want to earn a significant income en línea, an en línea business may be the best option.

You cánido get a free beginner’s guide by clicking on the backlink provided.

If you’re interested in accelerating your acceptance into the higher ranks of iWriter, you cánido pay a fee and write three test articles.

However, there is no guarantee that you will be awarded a higher rank, as iWriter will also consider your previous work in the grading process.

This is understandable since iWriter has to satisfy both its writers and its customers.

How does iWriter process payments?

iWriter currently emplees PayPal, and they have a minimum payment threshold of $20.

They pay on Tuesdays for the previous week’s earnings.

iWriter will also lose your pending payments (if less than $20) when and if you close your account.

Getting kicked out on iWriter.com

Based on iWriter’s terms of service, they may cancel or cancel your account without notice.

If this happens, any unclaimed payments/cómputos on your account will be forfeited.

In the real world, I would question the legality of this, but in the en línea world that transcends borders, those are the terms of service you have to agree to.

At least in practice, if not in principle.

I know it’s time consuming, frustrating, and often confusing, but you should always read the terms of service whenever possible.

Some destacable reasons that could get you banned are:

  • Plagiarism.

iWriter emplees plagiarism checkers like Copyscape.

If you copy someone else’s work and your requestor archivos a complaint with iWriter, you risk having your account terminated.

  • Elementos unacceptable due to low quality of work.
  • Yarn elementos.
  • Not following customer instructions.
  • Consistently low ratings (below 3.5).
  • Send abusive messages to other iWriter members.
  • Work with iWriter clients off the platform.
  • Outsourcing your iWriter projects.

iWriter Reviews and Complaints

Like most companies, iWriter reviews are a mix of positive and negative.

BBB Reviews

iWriter currently has a C+ rating on the BBB, with no reviews and only 2 complaints.

As for the two complaints, one is from 2019 and the other from 2017.

So while it’s worth mentioning, they may not be relevant today.

In fact, I’m impressed that there are only two complaints.

iWriter has been around for a long time.

If there were any widespread issues or common complaints, I would expect significantly more complaints.

However, to be thorough, one was from an applicant who he said there were errores in iWriter’s system and complained about their poor customer service.

The other complaint was from a writer who paid a $200 reading fee to have their writing evaluated so they could accept special assignments.

However, they encountered problems during a site update and no longer had access to those projects.

According to the plaintiff, to add fuel to the fire, this problem was amplified by the frustration of customer service.

In the end, it seems that the problem was solved.

Again, two complaints in over ten years shouldn’t deter you from working with iWriter.

However, in fairness to those who have struggled with the platform, customer support seems to be a recurring issue based on the dozens of iWriter reviews I’ve read.

Fb Reviews

iWriter, at one point, had an overall Fb rating of 4.8 out of 5 (based on 50 reviews) before Fb modified their review/rating system.

However, these positive reviews came from seekers rather than writers.

The positive reviews mention good quality elementos at affordable prices and working with great people on the platform.

While these reviews aren’t directly from writers, they do speak to iWriter’s writer selection and management process.

The takeaway from these Fb reviews is that iWriter seems to work for a lot of people.

Where there are happy clients, you will often find happy freelancers.

What I like about iWriter

  • iWriter is another legit platform for trabajo independiente writers to earn some money.
  • It’s easy to join iWriter and get accepted.
  • iWriter’s payout is decent enough for new trabajo independiente writers.

Depending on where you live, it probably won’t replace your earned income, but everyone has to start somewhere.

What I do not like

  • 30 highly rated works to qualify for promotion to Premium level.

I perro’t help but wonder if this is iWriter’s way of getting as much work as possible from good writers who are stuck at the estándar tier… But that’s pure speculation.

    I don’t know if it’s true.

  • While their highest rank level (Elite Agregado) pays well, I suspect there are few Elite Agregado jobs (relative to the number of writers vying for them).
  • Reading fees to have your work evaluated and considered for higher paying in-demand jobs.

Where do you go from here?

If you’re looking for a way to make money from home, writing is a great option, whether it’s to replace a job you don’t like or to generate additional income.

iWriter might be a good platform to start with as its selection process has improved over the years and it’s a quick way to get started.

As you gain more experience, you’ll be able to work with clients directly or write for yourself, but iWriter is a great first step on that journey.
