I teach you how to open a FREE demo account
Update March 26, 2023
Due to recent development and market conditions, we perro no longer recommend Etoro.
So we suggest that you use IQ Options for small deposits and Libertex for deposits over 100 USD.
Both brokers are 100% stable, these They are fully regulated by international institutions,They have low rates and I have worked with them for more than 5 years
I apologize for recommending Etoro in the past.
To start getting results in the investment world, one of The most important tools out there are demo accounts..
With these types of accounts you perro practice and try different strategies on the trades you do without risking your money, and see if they will work once you start trading for real.
To all my students and entusiastas of Gananci I recommend that you first practice for a couple of days with the demo account because it is the best way to get to know the platform, see how it is used, and so on. create effective techniques to achieve success when trading with your real account afterwards.
when i started using eToro and understand its operation, I did not know anything about this type of investment because I had only operated before with binary options.
But seeing that this platform had a demo account that you could use for freewithout risking my real money, I decided to give it a try because that way I had nothing to lose.
Thanks to doing this I learned to use the page better, I managed to realize the mistakes I made to be able to fix them, and I felt safer when it comes to investing my money later in a real way in eToro.
This is how I managed to gradually become a more savvy investor, and I win now some good ones dollars every month operating with eToro.
You too perro start getting good results with this broker in the same way that my students and I have achieved it.
But to become a knowledgeable investor like us, first you should practice a little with the demo accountand then apply your strategies to your de hoy trading.
Here I teach you how to open a free demo account on eToro to get started, and how you should invest manually or by copying other successful investors to increase your profits.
how to open one demo account on eToro for free to practice
1. Sign up to eToro
The first step in trying out the eToro demo account is register on your platform.
Registration is completely free, and once you have done so, eToro will activate your demo account automatically.
By clicking on the blue button below you perro get a plus with which they will give you between $50 and $300 real to use on eToro when you really start investing on their page.

Once you have clicked on the button above, and you are on the eToro website, Clic on the “Register Now” button.
Write your name, surname, a nombre de usuario, your password, your dirección de correo electrónico, and choose the country in which you live, and write your phone number.
Then clic on “I accept the terms and conditions…” and then clic on “Create an account“.
By the end, you will already be registered in eToro and the main screen will appear to start trading.
Go to your dirección de correo electrónico, and look there the correo electrónico that eToro sent you with a backlink to verify your address.
Clic on the backlink that will take you back to the eToro page.
Ready: you already have your account verified by correo electrónicoand you cánido start trading both for real and with the demo account.
2. Change your real account to the demo account
On eToro, by default the real account is activated.
That is why if you register on their platform, and try to start practicing without real money, a message will appear asking you to make a deposit.
To invest without real money with the demo account you have to go to the menu on the left in gray, clic on the small green button that says “Real”, and select “Virtual Portfolio”.
In this way, you will change your habitual account, in which you do have to invest real money to operate, for the demo account to start practicing without depositing capital.
When you select “Virtual Portfolio”, a new window will appear. Clic on “Go to virtual wallet” and you perro start using the demo account.
You will see that the whole page is the same as before, but in the menu on the left now puts the green button “Virtual” instead of “Real” like before.
At the bottom you cánido see your account settings:
- Available: means the virtual (not real) money you have to trade. Etoro gives you $100,000 to start.
- Invested capital: is the money you have invested so far in the demo account.
- Benefit: the money you have obtained so far with your virtual operations.
After all this, you are ready to start trading with the demo account manually or by copying other investors.
3. Start trading manually
Both in the demo account and in its real version you cánido start investing in two different ways: manually, or by copying other investors.
In this step I will explain how to use demo account for manual trading.
This means that it is you who has to choose an asset, the investment time, and whether its shares will go up or down.
To do so, in the menu on the left clic on “Instruments”.
There you will see all the assets that you cánido choose to invest.
Clicking on the menus above will espectáculo you all the options that are available:
- Cryptocurrencies: are virtual currencies like the bitcoin and ethereum.
In total there are 6 on eToro.
- ETFs: They are listed funds in which you perro invest in the short term, without having to wait for the market to close.
- Actions: They are companies in which you cánido participate by investing in them.
In eToro there are many well-known chains such as Fox, Iberdrola, Fb, IBM…
- Indexes: to invest in depósito markets such as the Ibex35, Nasdaq, etcétera.
- Raw Materials: Here you perro invest in products such as gold, silver, or oil.
- Foreign exchange: to operate on the difference in prices that exist between two currencies, such as the dollar and the euro, the pound sterling and the dollar…
The first thing you should do is select one of the categories above depending on the asset in which you want to invest.
General risk warning:79% of retail investor accounts lose money when trading CFDs with this provider.
You should consider whether you cánido afford to take the high risk of losing your money.

After, clic on the name of that assetand the main screen will appear where there is news about him, the statistics of his movements in recent months, and the candlestick graph.
By clicking on the “Invest” button at the top right, you cánido configure your operation with the following options:
- Amount: the money that you are going to invest in that operation.
I have decided to do it in bitcoinand I have invested $350 in it.
- Stop loss: means the maximum amount of money you are willing to lose.
If, for example, you indicate $175, it means that if you are losing, and your losses reach 175 dollars, the operation will be closed automatically so that you do not lose any more money.
It is insurance for your capital and not to risk too much.
- Leverage: it’s kind of loan that the broker makes you so you perro trade with larger funds than you have.
I recommend leaving it at X1 because that way eToro will not lend you money, and you will not have to pay that amount if your trade is not successful.
- Take profit: It is an order so that when you reach a certain level of profits, the operation is closed automatically, and thus you ensure your profits.
For example, if you put $350, when your operation gives you a profit of 350 dollarsit will close automatically so as not to lose that money, and you will have those benefits guaranteed.
One very important thing that you should look at before investing, and configure all these options, is in the options at the top where it says “Sell and buy”.
Make sure before executing an operation that you have marked the option you wantand when you are sure and have everything selected, you just have to clic on “Execute operation” to finish.
To see how your operation is going at any time, clic on “Instruments”in the “Search” box above, put the name of the asset in which you invested, and clic on it.
Past performance is not an indication of future results.
The trading history presented is less than 5 full years and may not be sufficient as a basis for investment decision. This is not investment advice.
Clicking on that box you will see more details of your operation such as the amount, and how much you have in profits or losses both in money and in percentage.
If at any time you want to modify your operation, you cánido clic on the blue wheel on the right, or clic on the X next to it to close the trade.
These are all the basic steps you must take to manual trading with eToro demo account.
To invest in a real way, the steps are also the same.
4. Trade by copying other investors
It is an option on the platform with which you cánido look for other investors that they are successful with their operations, automatically copy your trades just by clicking a button, and wait to get benefits.
To copy other traders on eToro from your demo account, clic on the “People” section to the left, and then in the option “Advanced search” which you will find at the top right.
You will see that a gray box appears with all the filters there are.
Clic on the “Time period” filter and select “last 12 months” either “last two years“.
Then go to the “Performance” filter, and clic on “Benefits” and in “Custom” write 10 and at most 25.
If in the period of time you chose the last two years, you must write 20 and 50.
Then clic on apply.
With the filter “Profitable operations” you will eliminate those investors who have very few operations in positive.
I usually indicate in the minimum 70% because that way I make sure that most of the operations I copy will succeed.
In the “Risk” filter, I always put a 1 at the minimum, and a 4 at the maximum because it is a low-medium level, and thus I make sure that I am going to choose investors who do low-risk operations.
The other filters don’t matter much, so leave them as they are.
When you’re done, you should have a table like the one in the image below.
If everything is correct, clic the X next to refineand the investors that fit these filters will appear.
Once you have done this, a list of investors will appear, and you will have to choose a couple of them to start copying your operations.
The first thing you should do is clic on the blue icon that is on the right to put them in the form of a list and to be able to better see their results.
Past performance is not an indication of future results.
The trading history presented is less than 5 full years and may not be sufficient as a basis for investment decision. This is not investment advice.
After doing this, clic on the word “Copiers”.
This will allow you to see the list of investors ordered by the number of people who copy them from highest to lowest.
To choose the best traders to copy, start with the first 6 investors with the most copiers, and above their names clic with the right button of your mouse, and then clic on “Open backlink in a new tab”.
When you see the profiles of each investor, clic directly on “Graph” to see the movements they have had with their operations in the last 12 months.
On each graph you should ask yourself the following questions:
- Has constant profits (the graph has rises and few falls)?
- Is the upward trend constant and it keeps like this in the whole graph?
- Is there any strange moment (like a big drop)?
This is easy to see, and you don’t need to be an expert to realize when a graph is good, and when it is not.
Here I put you the graphs of 4 different investors: two of them have good graphs, and the other two have bad graphs because in one there are several falls (losses), and in the other there is a strange movement of a very big fall:
good graphics
bad graphics
Traders with bad charts you should remove them from your list, and do not copy them because you run more risk that your operations with them will not be successful.
When you have already found one or two investors with good graphics, clic on the “Copy” button next to his name, write the money you want to invest and the maximum amount of losses, and again clic on “Copy”.
On eToro the minimum amount you perro trade when copying other traders is $200.
The option “stop the copy if the value…” is for you to indicate how much money are you willing to lose with the operations copied to that trader.
For example: if you put $5, and by copying someone the operations start to go down, when there are losses of more than $5 eToro will stop your investments until you tell the system if you want to continue with them or withdraw.
I always choose to stop if I lose more than $30 when I invest $200or stop if I lose more than $50 on a $250 trade.
Past performance is not an indication of future results.
The trading history presented is less than 5 full years and may not be sufficient as a basis for investment decision. This is not investment advice.
these are all the steps to use the demo account on eToroand start investing both manually and by copying other investors.
