We know we’ve been vague up until now about what it really costs to rent Zipcars.
There is a reason for that. The costs depend on the city where you live.
They don’t vary dramatically, but they do vary.

Rentals start at $10 per hour or $74 per day.
Stereotypes might say that everyone in Houston just they ride horses, but the reality is that Houston has some pretty serious traffic.
Fortunately, they also have Zipcar, which means there may still be hope of solving the city’s congestion problems.
5. Philadelphia
Our last stop is the City of Brotherly Love. Rentals in Philadelphia start at $7.50 per hour or $77 per day.
Philadelphia isn’t known for bad traffic, but it’s a big city.
So carpooling makes as much sense there as it does in any of the other cities we’ve discussed so far.
What about the fuel?
One thing drivers love about ZipCar is that you never have to pay for fuel.
The price of gas is already included in the rental rates, so you never have to dig into your pocket to fill the pump.
When you pay for your ZipCar rental and get into the controlador’s seat, you’ll see that each vehicle comes with de gas card that you cánido use to pay for fuel.

Drivers under the age of 21 receive the minimum liability required in the state where the accident or damage occurs.
New drivers who signed up after August 1, 2018 receive the same coverage, regardless of age.
Drivers age 21 and older who joined before March 1, 2015 receive $300,000 in accident liability coverage.
More than 21 drivers who registered before July 31, 2018 receive $100,000 per person for bodily injury and $25,000 for property damage.
How do you sign up for ZipCar?
The first step in registering to rent a ZipCar is to pay an application fee.
The application alone is $25.
If you are a student, you perro enroll at 18 years of age; otherwise, you must be 21 or older and have a valid controlador’s license.
Visit the ZipCar website to complete your application.
You will also need to provide account information for billing and select a membership plan that works for you.

If you plan to travel with a pet, your pet must be in a carrier at all times.
